Hello my lovely family! I am leaving on Monday! It's so nuts, the MTC has flown by and it scares me to think that the people in Germany's salvation is a little bit dependant on me (and their agency) and that I have to be able to communicate with them effectively, but I know I can do it with the Lord's help.
This week has been crazy, just trying to cram all the knowledge we can into our heads, but at the same time we've been so so so distracted and having a hard time focusing. We're all just so ready to go into the field. The sad news of the week is Sister Pingree, a sister going to Germany that came about 3 weeks ago, has to go home because she has some health conditions, but she's going to be able to come back, so I'm really glad about that. I love her. She's totally amazing and the most likable person I've ever met. So we'll miss seeing her the couple days we'll be here and she won't.
So the deal for Monday is we're meeting at the travel office at 5 am and going to the SLC airport and then flying at 8:30 from there to Chicago, Chicago to Frankfurt, and Frankfurt to Berlin. I think the anticipated time of arrival to Berlin is like.... 9:30 Tuesday morning Germany time. So we're gonna be POOPED. We have some layovers so I'll be calling home. I'm not sure what time, but you can expect a call. I don't know how the calling card works, so if its different than a normal call I'll fill you in on the phone. I only know I have a $5 card and each minute is one cent. Our district has a goal to each give out a Book of Mormon so that should be exciting. I know I'll regret it all my life if I sit on an airplane next to a German for Frankfurt to Berlin and don't talk about the gospel......but my German is SO bad. But I know the Lord will help me out. He has so far, why would He stop?
So, sorry the balance on my money is so low. There was a lot of chaos about money because *SURPRISE* I lost my debit card. This was Tuesday and so that was stressful hoping that I'd find it before I left. The MTC sent us from place to place trying to help me find where to go and what to do to cancel it and hopefully get a new one in time. 2 hours later they sent me to Zion's Bank and so I just took out all the money that I'll hopefully need for travel, but just in case-can you put some more in there? I have to pay for eating and I think I just have enough in cash for luggage at the moment. But I think that's about it. But the best part of this story is I had a feeling to look under my desk in the classroom while we were walking around the MTC and I ignored it and when we got back 2 and a half hours later it was there, like I thought it should be. Moral of the story? FOLLOW PROMPTINGS! And if you lose something, don't feel dumb about saying a prayer! I don't know why I didn't even think of that, I thought I was supposed to be a missionary. But I hope I've learned my lesson.
Yeah....I don't know what else to write. I have 10 minutes left so if you get this you can write back and ask questions that you might have. Let me know! It's 4:23 right now so I'll probably have about 9 minutes by the time you get this. I love you! The church is SO true!!!!! Share the gospel every time you get the chance! Don't be ashamed! Also- I have a package on the way to you of things that I won't be needing. Just be expecting it! Thanks so much! Okay I'll probably have about 8 mintues by the time this gets there. LOVE YOU!
Sister Niebergall
